• Best tips for going to bed in time

Please, share all your best tips for how you develop a good habit of going to bed in time! 🙈 This is something I struggle with a lot, but would love to change, because I know that it is really important for good health. Specially to get the 2 hours before 12.

Some quotes form my favourite author onthe topic:

”Since the work of building up the body takes place during the hours of rest, it is essential, especially in youth, that sleep should be regular and abundant.”

In regulating the hours for sleep, there should be no haphazard work. Students should not form the habit of burning the midnight oil and taking the hours of the day for sleep. If they have been accustomed to doing this at home, they should correct the habit, going to bed at a seasonable hour. They will then rise in the morning refreshed for the duties of the day.”

I’ll admit, I need to follow these tips myself, but here they are!

    1) Batch cook for the week so you don’t have to spend all evening cooking

    2) Go for a run in the morning so you’re tired by the time you should be going to bed (or at least try and do some kind of exercise throughout the day)

    3) Start getting ready for bed at least an hour before you intend to sleep (e.g. brush teeth, have a shower and get into your PJS), so that all you need to do is climb under the covers!

Haha, I used to go for a run once a week in the morning, but then winter came and I stopped. I want to get back into it though! (The other two are also a work in progress 😛 )

From the moment you decide to get ready for bed, put your phone away 😊
