Details
- You may not be Leonardo Da Vinci or van Gogh, and that’s okay! Just have fun trying to visually express something that means a lot to you; a person, an object, a belief, an emotion, a memory, or something else.
- You can choose to paint on a canvas or draw on a paper (no digital artworks this time). Use one color, or many. Abstract or (an attempt to) photorealistic. You’re the artist, you decide!
- If you have kids, this can be a great opportunity to make it an activity that the whole family can join in on.
- Important! Make sure to keep your artwork safe somewhere, because you will use it for a later challenge again.
The inspiration behind this challenge
Taking time to paint/draw is maybe not something you usually do, which is why we thought that this can be a fun, memorable experience for you. At least for me, I always think it is a bit funny to see the contrast between how I imagined something in my mind, versus the reality of my attempts. Though I never really am proud of my creative works, I’m always having a good and relaxing time.
Now combine that with reflecting on something that’s meaningful to you. During the whole creative process, your mind is filled with these positive thoughts. So besides ending up with a personal master piece to remind you of something wonderful, you end up with a grateful and energized heart.
